PAC FUND

The TRBA Political Action Committee (PAC) plays a vital role in supporting candidates and officeholders who champion rural telecommunications. As a non-profit entity regulated by the Texas Ethics Commission, the TRBA PAC adheres to strict ethical guidelines and operates on a bipartisan basis during primary and general election cycles.

Through contributions, we actively engage in the political process in Austin and throughout Texas, demonstrating our commitment to the policymakers shaping the future of rural telecommunications. Supporting the TRBA PAC showcases our dedication to fostering strong relationships with elected officials and underscores our industry’s collective voice.

Who can contribute to the PAC?

Eligible contributors to the TRBA Political Action Committee (PAC) include individuals who are U.S. citizens, not federal government contractors, and who use their personal (non-corporate) funds to make a voluntary contribution. In addition to individuals, unincorporated entities such as partnerships and sole proprietorships may contribute, as well as certain professional associations, depending on their legal structure. All contributions must be made voluntarily and may not be reimbursed by an employer or any other person.

Important Note: The TRBA PAC can only accept individual contributions, not corporate donations.

(Checks should be made payable to TRBA PAC.)

Who decides how contributions are made?

Decisions on how TRBA PAC funds are allocated are made by the TRBA Board of Directors. These decisions are informed by recommendations from our lobby team, ensuring contributions are directed to where they will have the greatest impact in supporting rural broadband and telecommunications.
